If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This company needs to re-evaluate its policies and speak to its staff members to fully inform them.
I purchased a gel lamp for £300 on a bit of a whim whilst I was on holiday in Scotland and used their ‘click and collect’ service as I thought this would be an easy way for me to purchase the item whilst I was away from my main store.
Upon finishing my holiday and driving home, which was a 4 hour drive away, I realised that the lamp I purchased was not compatible with the other products I used and had to return it. I returned to my nearest store and expressed I would like to return this product.
The team at the Bradford store were initially very helpful however they thought best to double check with Customer Services before they processed the refund as I used my PayPal account to safely purchase online. The team were soon informed by Customer Services that I could not return to that store and instead had to drive an 8 hour round trip return from the store I collected from.
I then called Customer Services myself and again was further informed by 2 members of staff that I could not return to the Bradford Store and I instead had to drive 4 hours to return the item to the store I collected from.
There was no leeway or other assistance offered. In fact, they were extremely rude and completely shut me down. For some bizarre reason they could not understand why I was so resistant to driving 8 hours in total to return an item when the company is in fact one National UK company with the same warehouse and ultimately the same exact same stock?!
In the end, I called the store I collected from (Dumfries and Galloway) and spoke to a lady called Emma. I would like to give her 10 stars!!! She was extremely helpful and completely empathetic to the whole situation. She was the one person in the company who went out of her way to solve this ridiculous issue for me. She agreed that it was absolutely ridiculous for the company to expect me to drive 4 hours to return an item when they could simply perform a stock transfer within the company. The issue took around a week to fully resolve and Emma had to chase various answers from various people however she kept me fully informed along the whole way. She is a credit to the company and understands the meaning of true customer service.
In the end, I returned to the Bradford store again, which I may add takes 40 minutes for me to drive to, wasting petrol at a time when prices are on the rise, for me to return said item again. The team at the Bradford store apologised and gladly performed the return. They too agreed with me that they felt it was initially ridiculous for me to have to return the item to the original store but their hands were tied and sadly could not refund on the initial day I visited store.
Overall, the whole experience has left me questioning whether I would like to remain a member of Salon Services as they clearly do not care about their customers.
Please Salon Services sort out your ridiculous policies and inform your staff members so this same thing does not happen again to another poor customer!!

This has to be the worst trade Beauty…
This has to be the worst trade Beauty supplier I've used for the 19 years i have been in buisness. Staff are fantastic and are constantly embarrassed at saying they don't have stock. I now buy most of my products online after wanting to support my local store. And please stop dumping old stock, send it to a woman's refuge.

Very happy with SallyBeauty's service
Recently ordered online for the first time, and a few days later made a second order. Very fast delivery of goods, great deals and products exactly as advertised. Based on my experience so far, would recommend this as a great alternative site to more usual high street store sites for hair and beauty products.

Rude member of staff serving today. Simple situation that I felt could've been dealt with,with alot more professionalism and kindness.
Has made me question going back to the Warwick branch. All the other girls are lovely though. Perhaps the girl serving was having a bad day?! Who knows....

Not happy with the manager Diana at this store. I understand she is old and may get tired dealing with customers but she has no right to refuse seeing customers when there is 10 minutes left for closing.
Will be complaining to salon services as she really made me upset and I had to walk out of the store after driving for 30 mins there.

Have been been a customer of Sally's many years.
Unfortunately picked up semi permanent colour instead of the permanent (same packaging )
Was so shocked when I realised and returned the colours after 28 day when they said they would not exchange !!
As the product has no sell by date and in perfect condition I thought dreadful customer service from Sally's!!!
Long standing customer who paid for expensive colours ..

Mansfield Store
Mansfield Store- popped in to get some hair dye and needed some assistance, I wasn’t waiting long before someone was able to help which was good. However the sales assistants there had very little knowledge, I was asking for advice on what colour to get and they were just throwing numbers at me and I told them multiple times that I didn’t know what they meant just they proceed to tell me I needed a “5 base” (no idea what that means) and then they walked off. I had to ask them to come back again and show me which one I needed to buy.
They could probably improve their knowledge on products and make it easier for people like myself and others who are not hairdressers

Received my order and no problems at all , I can see there quite lot of negative reviews about Sally's , but your gonna get good and bad experiences with all businesses , but this is my first order from Sally's so I'll keep you updated on here on how my orders go in the future .

Hard work returning product
Purchased a beauty bag on line. Looked great. However arrived but extremely heavy and bulky for me to carry around mobile. Requested return immediately.
My experience trying to return the product is second class. Advised I cannot return to the shop as apparently a PayPal transaction. Advised must return by post by registered post along with the cost of a £6 label on top for me which they send to print for the product. The bag is extremely heavy and is unreasonable to return by post as it will cost a fortune. I am unsure why I cannot just return to my local shop even if it was a PayPal transaction which it wasn’t. After a few back and forth emails All resolved. Accepted product eventually at the shop

My review is regarding the Mansfield store in Nottinghamshire.
The older blonde assistant is lovely (over 50) the other younger blonde (one who looks like a 1940’s wannabe (late 30’s) Not bring judgy, I just don’t know how else to describe her.
She has always been rude, I had a run in with her years ago and left a Google review, can’t believe she’s still employed there.
Really kills my vibe knowing she’s on the till.
I digress…
I popped in today with my daughter, got my items, placed them on the till, she wasn’t looking at me, just staring at the till, I said, hi what would you like from me as I don’t have my trade card? (I’ve been in a few times with the app) but I had no battery on my phone)
She sighed and said “postcode” really abrupt, gave her my postcode, then she said “name” again abruptly!
Rolled her eyes, which my daughter saw, and advised the assistant to not do that.
I said “why are you being so rude?
She replied YOU ARE!
We’ll I was took a back, I said, I’m sorry but if I’ve forgot my card, then I’m usually asked nicely to provide other information, not sighed at, eye rolled and spoken to like an inconvenience!
I reminded her that I’d left a review of the service by her years ago on Google, shame to see she still have no customer service skills.

I went to pick up some things from Sallys in Crawley and the man who worked there (bald) followed me around pretending to scan items, he asked me in a VERY rude manner if i knew what i was looking for and as if i didnt know what i was doing i replied with what i was looking for as i do work in a profeshional hair salon and we use the products they sell ie. inoa dia ritchesse, dia light and so on, this RUINED my experiance and i will never return! i couldnt belive this APPALING customer service, so rude !!!!!!!! and the prices are double so i wouldn't of bought anything if i didnt need it there and then. would put 0 stars if i could!!
